3-D Literacy - The Foundation for Innovation - Grades 7-10

Learn the skills needed to create and print your own 3-D pieces. This course will teach you the elements of 3-D Literacy (3-D Printing, 3-D CAD, and 3-D Programming). You will learn basic 3-D printer operation skills and basic 3-D CAD modeling skills. You'll also get an introduction to micro-electronics. The final project is to build an open source 3-D printable robot. This robot has the ability to be controlled in manual mode and has the option to be taught a simple task. The project requires the integration of 3-D Literacy. It will be a great way to introduce complex engineering principals through easy and fun activities.

$195.00, plus $70 materials fee paid to instructor
