Physics of Sports - Grades 4-8

How does a pitcher curve a ball in midair? Why do golf balls have dimples? Why do ice skaters spin faster when pulling their arms in? Learn the answers to these questions and more as we explore how concepts of force, motion, collisions, and air resistance can enhance your game. We'll use hands-on experiments and demonstrations in the classroom, as well as short field trips to investigate the physics of sports!
