Chicago's: Incredible Architecture: Frank Lloyd Wright and a River Cruise

ENRICHMN 3082, Course Code: 2518

Chicago has rightfully earned the reputation of an architectural icon. Your day will start in Hyde Park at Robie House, Frank Lloyd Wright's prime example of Prairie School style. Next, we will tour the Loop and see how public art by Chagall, Picasso and Calder enhances the buildings behind them. While in the Loop, we will also visit the lobbies of the Rookery Building (remodeled by Frank Lloyd Wright) and the Marquette Building, including an exhibit explaining the history of the skyscraper in Chicago. Enjoy lunch in a winter garden setting in the atrium of one of downtown's beautiful buildings. The afternoon will feature a narrated cruise on the Chicago River and Lake Michigan. Experience picturesque aquatic views of the city's architecture as we sail through the Chicago River Lock onto Lake Michigan. Your trip includes all fees/gratuities, lunch, and transportation to and from Chicago. Registration deadline is September 19th. Sorry, no refunds after that date.
